As for older posts on here, I’ve been doing some maintenance, revisiting them and beefing up the info as they were pretty little skimp on details. I’ll soon be posting a top list of ones which I think are most relevant. I’ll also be writing more theme-related content in the future.

I have another CNNGo article going up soon on one of my favourite places in Seoul. I also pitched a new list of content ideas the other day and will follow up with the ones that get accepted.

And it looks like Flash Parker beat me to posting about filters. Filters are to photographers what adjectives are to writers: that extra boost to bring out the best in your images. Keep in mind that they won’t solve all your photographic limitations, but with a little imagination they’ll certainly expand the realm of possibilities of what you can translate from your mind’s eye to CCD or film.

In layman’s terms, Graduated neutral-density (ND) filters reduce the amount of light hitting your camera’s sensor. They are used in strong sunshine, snowy mountains or white beaches, and can often render to the CCD or film what you see with your eyes without altering colour temperature, colour balance or contrast. Your camera’s CCD only detects light as multiple levels of brightness. Therefore, ND filters are a great tool to inject some creativity into your work.

And judging from Flash Parker’s work they deliver the goods just fine. Awesome stuff.
