Saetgang Bridge & Yeouido Ecological Park

September 5, 2011

Spent the better part of Saturday on assignment taking in some of the city’s more notable bridges.

The new Saetgang Bridge is the city’s first asymmetric, cable-stayed bridge. The pedestrian-only overpass links Singil-dong with Yeouido-dong and was built to provide Seoulites with safe and convenient access to Yeouido Saetgang Ecological Park.

It’s a great vantage point for setting up your tripod and shooting the surrounding cityscape.

Yeouido Park is also within 20mins walking distance. I used to come here quite a lot when I first arrived in Korea, especially to take in the cherry blossoms.

Here are a few from the set. I’ll be uploading more throughout the week.

Robert has some fantastic night shots here.

Getting there: Subway Line 1 or 5 to Singil Station (Exit 2). Alternatively you can take subway Line 5 or 9 to Yeouido Station and get out exit 1. Keep walking straight for two blocks.

If I ever get back to Seoul, I’d love to linger on those bridges. Thanks for upload!
