Steve McCurry, the man behind the incredibly popular National Geographic cover photo ‘Afghan Girl’, is a remarkably gifted photographer and a huge inspiration to many, including myself. While studying film at university he began working as a staff photographer for the school newspaper. It was there that he became so “enamored with the still image” that his creative direction changed. He’s been travelling the world ever since and bringing cultures together through photography.
