Roasters | Cafés in Seoul

April 2, 2011

Java fans out there will love Ogin-dong’s Roasters coffee shop and bean store. Affordable, hand-picked and incredibly delicious coffees is what you’ll find here.

Run by friendly, knowledgeable staff, this nifty little coffee shop has all the markings as the city’s best venue for getting more bean for the buck.

The owner holds regular seminars, and is always happy to answer any questions. There are also plenty of coffee books on hand, so pull one off the shelf while nursing that cup of Malawi blend (4,000 KRW). Prices start as low as 5,800 KRW for 100g.

Roasters is open from 10am to10:30pm Monday through Sunday.

Getting there: Gyeongbokgung Station (Line 3). Get out exit 2 and head straight. Turn left at the second set of traffic lights. Roasters is 2mins down from there on your left.

Thanks for the post! What a friendly and cozy cafe! I’ve stopped in several times and had some of the best coffee in Seoul. I’ll definitely be stopping in whenever I’m nearby.

This might just be the best coffee shop I’ve been to. Nice atmosphere, and if you go in the afternoon, when it’s slow, you’ll see them sorting their coffee beans by hand, to make sure you get the very best.

Yep. The guy was sorting the beans by hand when I was in there Saturday. They also hold regular coffee seminars. A great little place. The Malawi blend is fantastic.
