Japan Earthquake | The Struggle to Recover
March 17, 2011
I won’t make this any longer than it has to be. This photo set I saw this morning speaks for itself. To look at the faces, that degree of unfathomable loss, is heart wrenching.
My prayers go out to all those suffering right now. Your resilience is truly remarkable.
This powerful video from The Guardian’s Dan Chung shows what remains of Shintona in Miyagi prefecture, one of the areas worst hit by the tsunami.

I know… It’s just so much destruction in such a short time scale that’s it’s overwhelming. The world’s eyes are on the nuclear reactors, but there are countless people without food, water and shelter in freezing temperatures. That and the fact that there have been repeated aftershocks and an ongoing series of earthquakes in the Pacific.
just horrifying…even after seeing film and video it is hard to wrap one’s head around the devastation. we underestimate mother nature’s power and forget who the boss is…she will have the last word if we don’t change our ways and show some respect.
