Tteuran Teahouse | Walk Through Insadong

Took the GF1 out for another spin over the weekend in and around Insadong. I remember reading something about a teahouse called Tteuran on Robert’s blog not too long ago and decided to try it yesterday. Not the easiest place to find, but well worth the effort. Nothing beats hiding out in a traditional hanok drinking ginseng herbal tea and a steaming bowl of 단팥죽 (red bean porridge) during the winter months. Love this shot of his.

The teahouse has been featured in Seoul Selection and was also the set of a very popular Korean movie. The owner is super friendly. Highly recommended, and makes for a great stopover when shopping in nearby Insadong.

Getting there: Tteuran is directly behind Nakwon Music Arcade (Exit 4) in Insadong. You’ll see a pharmacy (약국) with an orange sign. Follow that road down about 250m. It’ll be on your right.
