CNNGo | Palace Walk Through Seoul
My article on Seoul’s “Five Grand Palaces” is now up. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can comfortably make it to all five in a day’s time (five to six hours if you’re really moving). I’m going to try and post a Google map so that I can pinpoint the route exactly. I’ve added a few more from the set in a slideshow below.
NOTE: A massive thanks to Robert Koehler for letting me use some of his shots (all those caps of Changgyeonggung are his).
UPDATE: CNN International ran the story. It’s under Editor’s Choice.
If you’re feeling ambitious and adventurous, I’ve mapped out a walk to all five palaces that can be done in a day – with a breaks at Bucella’s and Cha Masineun Tteul, of course.
Start off at Deoksugung Palace (subway Line 1 or 2) and finish off at Changgyeonggung Palace.

Thanks. No argument there. It is certainly an ambitious. However, if one were to leave early enough, it’s definitely doable.
Enjoyed the photos but I think trying to do all five palaces in one day is pretty ambitious. I would recommend two days in order to really enjoy visiting these palaces.
