Anmyeondo Island | West Coast Korea
February 15, 2009
Rented a jeep and tore off to the west coast for the weekend. Anmyeondo Island is just beautiful and the seafood here is second to none – I ate fist-size scallops and prawns last night over an open fire. Located a short 30 kilometers away from Taean, it’s Korea’s sixth biggest island. The 200m bridge connecting the island to the peninsula is impressive. Once you drive over you’ll find plenty of beaches and places to stay. Surprisingly, many pensions were all booked up. If the winters are this busy you can just imagine what the summers must be like.
