Myeongdong is always a maze of activity – particularly during the holiday season. From the neon lit side streets lined with cozy little shops to the towering department stores boasting luxury and duty free items; the area is a virtual haven for shoppers. Although the neighboring districts of Namdaemun and Dongdaemun rope in visitors with low, discount prices, Myeongdong has the enormous advantage of diversity. Several internationally recognized brands have even opened up flagship stores in the area due to its enormous appeal. With all its selection of styles and sizes, it’s no small wonder it’s first on many people’s list as the place to go for all things fashionable.
